During the summer months, ballet dancers often travel to train at summer intensives, across the country. These programs can last anywhere from one to six weeks, giving dancers the opportunity to learn from new teachers, experience different training environments, and immerse themselves in the dance world. If you’re spending part of your summer in a new city, scheduling outdoor ballet photos is a wonderful way to create lasting memories.
Marigold was visiting Franklin, Tennessee, to train with NS Dance Academy and decided she would like to take outdoor ballet photos while she was in town. Since she is newer to dancing en pointe, it was especially rewarding to create images that highlighted her dancing in pointe shoes.
We explored the charming streets of Downtown Franklin, using the historic architecture and beautiful textures as the backdrop for her portraits. Marigold chose a lilac leotard with princess seams and paired it with a lilac high-low skirt. The soft color complemented the setting perfectly and helped her stand out in every image.
As a former professional ballet dancer and ballet teacher, I enjoy guiding dancers into poses that showcase clean technique and artistry. Whether you’re attending a summer intensive, celebrating a milestone, or just simply want some outdoor ballet photos, I’d be happy to work with you.
Outdoor dance sessions are $500 for a one-hour session. Contact me today to schedule your session!
